So while I'm totally behind with my fandoms, both in canon and in fannish goings-on, I have been doing other things! And by other things, I mean watching Big Love. I started watching it almost by accident at a friend's house, but I seem to have fallen in love. (And pretty much moved in with Chelsea part-time so I could catch up- i think I've stayed here more often than at my own place in the last few weeks.) I'm trying to develop thinking-type thoughts about it, but at the moment I'm... mostly reduced to cooing at Margene. And- all of them, really? But I love Margene so much. She's just bright and so full of love for her family- she's so young but she's so sincere about everything, and so hopeful and just look at that face! She's so adorable. I already have a terrible habit of talking to the people on the TV box, but it's getting kind of ridiculous. I suspect Chelsea's mom gets annoyed at my constant exclaimations of "Oh Margene (/Nikki/Barb/Wanda/Bill/Joey/Lois/Sarah/Heather/etc), honey." I'm just- I love unconventional family units, but more than anything I love media where the people really love each other, and for all the drama and strife, I really never doubt that they really do love each other, dearly.
Like I said- thinking later. Currently I am trying to channel my verbal cooing into text so I'm less annoying. Oh, Margie. *hart*
(hrn. teaser for next episode worries me, but if I have learned one thing from Lost, it's that teasers are about as reliable as comic solicits. IN THE NEXT EPISODE: IS THIS THE END OF OUR HERO? and then: THE NEXT EPISODE: IT IS NOT THE END OF OUR HERO.) |

So it looks like we've got it coming at us from both fronts- the porn on the one hand, and the copyright violations on the other.
You know, I really was starting to think that maybe we were overreacting, that most of this stuff was just corporate idiocy, rather than actively trying to push us out. Hell, maybe it still is, but- well. I think most of us would agree that there comes a point when actions matter over intent, and it looks like we might be there. I think all of us qualify as serial copyright infringers.
All in all, I really would have preferred the Potterdamerung. :\ |
