Okay, so I've been meaning to make this post for awhile but was planning to wait until things calm down. But as no down-calming seems immenint, I figure I better post this while I can still post polls, because I sure as hell ain't renewing my account. So-

Technically, I'm aredeft on AIM. However, because I am a deeply neurotic person, I am rarely on. I'm never quite sure of what the rules of engagement are. If it were a forum or a community, I could lurk and learn the etiquette, but I've found lurking on AIM to be singularly unproductive. But- especially now- I want to have as many ways of communicating with other fen as possible, so. In my time of need, I turn to you, oh flist.

I am hoping that by sharing my paranoia, I will exorcise it a bit- hey, it helped with feedback. So please- share your IM neuroses, and maybe I'll actually be online some time this year.
(in case people are wondering- I am okay with long pauses mostly, I feel silly making small talk when I have nothing to say but don't want to be rude, I tend to say goodbye when I sign off but I won't hold it against you if you don't, and I have no idea how anyone can talk to more than two people at a time without their brain exploding.)
